Vivo is gearing up to unveil its S50 series in China this December, featuring two models: the Vivo S50 and the more compact Vivo S50 Pro Mini.

Ahead of the big reveal, the company has dropped some exciting details about the Pro Mini. The device will run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, promising top-tier performance.

It also packs a dual rear camera setup led by Sony’s impressive IMX882 sensor, setting the stage for standout mobile photography.

In a recent Weibo post, Vivo product manager Han Boxiao teased major details about the upcoming Vivo S50 Pro Mini.

Positioned as a compact flagship, the device is set to debut with a sleek 6.31-inch flat display and a punchy feature set to match its premium ambitions.

The Vivo S50 Pro Mini is set to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and coupled with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM reaching speeds up to 9,600 Mbps, along with UFS 4.1 storage.

For the first time ever, a device in the S-series lineup will feature Qualcomm’s newest flagship processor—straight from the official announcement.

Vivo also claims the phone can break past the 3-million mark on AnTuTu, putting it firmly in elite performance territory.

Vivo has confirmed that its upcoming handset will feature a dual rear camera system, headlined by an ultra-sensitive large main sensor and a Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens for crisp long-range shots.

On the front, a 50-megapixel selfie camera handles selfies and video calls with ease. Vivo also promises that the phone will bring the same full focal-length zoom flash experience found on its flagship models.

Haptics on the upcoming handset will be powered by an X-axis linear motor, and for security, it’s confirmed to feature the upgraded 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint 2.0 sensor.

The Vivo S50 Pro Mini is also rumored to boast robust IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Vivo has also revealed the S50 Pro Mini’s power setup, and it’s a standout feature. The phone will carry a hefty 6,500mAh “Blue Sea” battery, backed by fast 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging—built to keep its user going with minimal downtime.
