RedMagic 11 Air Launches in China as a Slim Gaming Powerhouse with Snapdragon 8 Elite
As anticipated, RedMagic has officially unveiled the RedMagic 11 Air in China, positioning it as a sleek middle ground between ultra-thin smartphones and full-blown gaming beasts.
The new model keeps the brand’s bold identity intact with a transparent back, RGB-lit active cooling fan, and last year’s powerhouse Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset under the hood.
Up front, the 11 Air delivers a clean, uninterrupted AMOLED display, complete with a 16MP under-display selfie camera and an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.
The 6.85-inch panel boasts a 1,216 × 2,688 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection for durability.
True to its gaming DNA, the phone comes equipped with capacitive shoulder triggers and flagship-grade memory.
It packs up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM with blazing 9,600MB/s bandwidth, paired with up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage offering read speeds of up to 4,200MB/s.
Despite its gaming chops, the RedMagic 11 Air remains impressively slim at 7.85mm and weighs 207g.
Even so, it still houses a high-performance cooling fan spinning at up to 24,000 RPM, along with an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.
On the back, you’ll find a dual-camera setup led by a 50MP main sensor (23mm equivalent) with OIS and a 1/1.55-inch sensor, joined by an 8MP ultra-wide camera.
Fueling the device is a hefty 7,000mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging, while software duties are handled by RedMagic OS 11.0 based on Android 16.
The RedMagic 11 Air launches in Quantum Black and Stardust White. Pricing starts at CNY 3,499 ($502) for the 12GB/256GB variant, climbing to CNY 4,199 ($602) for the 16GB/512GB model.
Both versions are already available via nubia’s online store, though details on an international release remain under wraps.
