OnePlus 16 Leak Hints at Massive 9,000mAh Battery, 200MP Camera Upgrade

OnePlus only just launched its flagship OnePlus 15 in October, but the rumor mill is already buzzing about what’s next.

A fresh leak has now shed light on one of the most eye-catching upgrades expected for its successor — the battery.

According to a tipster, the upcoming OnePlus 16 will pack a massive 9,000mAh battery.

That’s a notable jump from the OnePlus 15, which comes with a 7,300mAh cell paired with blazing-fast 120W charging.

The claim doesn’t come out of nowhere either. Earlier this month, OnePlus rolled out the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V, both featuring 9,000mAh batteries with 80W fast charging.

With that precedent set, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the OnePlus 16 adopt the same high-capacity power setup.

The OnePlus 16 is tipped to debut in China this October and could push boundaries in other areas too, with rumors pointing to a 200MP main camera and the highest refresh-rate display ever fitted to a smartphone.

If these leaks hold true, OnePlus’s next flagship could be shaping up to be a serious powerhouse.

The device was first teased during last month’s Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro launch event.
