Samsung Democratizes AI with Global Launch of Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G

SEOUL, South Korea
Samsung Electronics officially expanded its mid-range empire today, announcing the global launch of the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G. Positioned as "AI for everyone," the new handsets bring high-end "Awesome Intelligence" features and flagship-level durability to a more accessible price point.

The announcement, made during a global digital event, confirms that Samsung is closing the gap between its premium S-series and the popular A-series, offering features like six years of OS updates and IP68 water resistance across both models.

The New Standard: "Awesome Intelligence"

The headline for the 2026 lineup is the debut of the One UI 8.5 software suite. Both devices now support advanced AI tools previously exclusive to the flagship Galaxy S26:

  • Circle to Search with Google: Now upgraded with multi-object recognition, allowing users to identify several items within a single frame.

  • Voice Transcription: The Voice Recorder app can now transcribe, translate, and summarize meetings or calls in real-time.

  • AI Select: A new Edge Panel tool that allows users to instantly extract text or images and "drag-and-drop" them into other apps.

  • Creative Editing: Tools like Object Eraser and Best Face (exclusive to the A57) use generative AI to fix group photos and remove unwanted background distractions.

Galaxy A57 5G: The Mid-Range Powerhouse

The Galaxy A57 5G sees a significant design overhaul, measuring just 6.9mm thick. It is powered by the new Exynos 1680 chipset, which includes a 13% larger vapor chamber to sustain performance during heavy gaming.

"The new Galaxy A series reflects our commitment to bringing the latest innovations to more users," said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience at Samsung Electronics. "By democratizing AI, we are empowering more people to be productive and creative every day."
